So, it's now the time for planning my fashion buying for next Spring/Summer 2015.
Looking forward to seeing what trends are forecasted and trying to figure out what the Liberties customer will be looking for and love.
Simply put, I want to be inspired and covet the things I see. The enjoyment I get from shopping for the shop, customers, and yes I admit it, myself, I hope you also feel when you buy pieces from us.
Appointments so far are booked with Orla Kiely, Pinko, Marella, and the very best Danish designer, By Malene Birger - my own personal label-crush!
And speaking of brands, we are so excited to have Pinko in Liberties. Creativity and quality are core values for Pinko. They focus on textile-styling research and superlative Italian workmanship to meet the needs of various types of consumers, women of different ages and personalities. It's a luxury product that many can appreciate and enjoy.

We selected Westport Harbour as the ideal location for Liberties. We are on the Quayside with the magnificent Clew Bay as the backdrop.
There are views of the mountains and ocean to savour and a selection of good bars, restaurants and coffee shops to sustain you. There is plenty of free parking right outside and the Harbour has an overall feeling of calm and serenity that will leave you relaxed and able to enjoy the Liberties experience to the full. When approaching Westport from any direction, follow signs for Westport Harbour. We are on the scenic coast road 1km before Westport Town, heading from Louisburgh, and next to the historic Westport House estate.
Liberties core values are to provide discerning customers with well designed pieces, crafted from the finest materials and and made available at affordable prices.
Each piece is individually selected - we visit all the major international showrooms and select the best pieces from the best collections. If it doesn't meet our criteria, it doesn't get in and as we only buy a limited number of each piece there is no danger of everyone having the same look - either in their home or in their wardrobe. We aim to create a relaxing, comfortable and welcoming environment to shop and browse in. Collections and displays are constantly evolving meaning there is always something new to see at Liberties.
Liberties was founded in Westport in 2006 but has existed in our minds as a concept for many more years.
We have lived and worked in London, Chicago, New York and most of Europe's capital cities before leaving the corporate world behind and re-locating to our family roots in the West of Ireland. Our backgrounds are in Marketing and Design and we have close connections to both the worlds of fashion and product innovation. Liberties began life as a fashion based enterprise and very quickly morphed into a lifestyle brand driven by our customers needs. It is important to us that Liberties stands out and offers all the things we ourselves missed out on when making purchases for ourselves and our home. We have just completed the introduction of our on-line presence and look forward to future developments which are already taking shape. Watch this space...
